Holiday Tour stop in TO
This was the 9th time that I have seen nero this year and they just keep uping the ante every night. The constant touring and experimenting takes their music to a new level and this night was not an exception.
I remember turning to my buddy next to me during the opener and saying - a nero intro jam - this is the best opening ever. An amazing jammed out version of Carol of Bells that just builds into and awesome version of Centrgnome. They continued to progress with a wicked Lemondust -> Basheeba (my fav nero song right now) back into Lemondust. When all was said and done they had played for about 45 minutes non-stop to begin the show. This show continued to build with intricate jams and progressions and finished with a wicked Chocolate Monkey Machine -> Whispy -> CMM and a solid Darius. The Effervecence encore was completely unexpected and kept us dancers moving throughout.
The progress that this band has made over the past year is amazing, touring over 150 shows will do that to you. And judging by the touring schedule so far - they don't plan on slowing down this year. I suggest that if you can catch them when they fly by your neck of the woods - definately do so - you wont regret it.
Peace,
Mike
PS. This is probably the best sounding recording on the archive so far - a wicked matrix mix by the man Mike Train.
